2018: Book #9

Donald Trump.

Steve Bannon.

Ivanka Trump.

Jared Kushner.

Those are the main characters in the very controversial book by Michael Wolff, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House”.

The book is not so much about Trump.

It’s really about the war between Bannon, Jared, and Ivanka.

Do I believe it all?

No…but what is disturbing, the book fits a narrative about the President and how the White House is run.

Things I learned that can help me as a leader:

  • Clarity matters. This certainly reminded me of the importance of clarity. Be clear in your expectations and goals; confusion does not help any situation.
  • Tell the truth. Whether it’s the President or the author of the book – tell the truth. Truth is a sister to clarity. It helps build trust and clear obstacles.

Intrigue. Oddities. Craziness.

If 10 percent is true regarding Bannon…then, the dude is “certifiable.”
If 10 percent is true about Jared and Ivanka…then, they should be complimented for at least trying to help the President.

Again…nuts.

This is book #9 for 2018.
43 more to go.

Remember, all leaders are readers.
If you want to be a better leader…be a reader.

Speaking of reading, the book says the President doesn’t like to read…at all.
